New Elden Ring Mod ‘The Convergence’ Offers Immersive Expansion Experience

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting news on Elden Ring’s expansion, you’re not alone. The anticipation for further updates on Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has left many fans feeling like they’ve ‘gone Hollow’. However, there’s a new development in the form of an expansion-sized mod called The Convergence, which aims to provide an immersive experience to tide over enthusiasts.

The Convergence mod offers a range of features that transform the entire game. It introduces class-based progression, with 27 new classes, each offering a unique playstyle and identity. Additionally, each class now has its own starting location in the world, providing a fresh experience for players.

Boss Resurrection allows players to relive epic battles with their favorite Remembrance bosses, while Remnant Crafting enables the creation of talismans and physick tears using new crafting materials found in the world. The Erdtree Network feature allows players to travel almost anywhere in the world by defeating local Erdtree bosses and teleporting to their desired location.

Furthermore, The Convergence mod enhances crafting by unlocking recipes from the start and enabling crafting during combat. It also includes dungeon overhauls, new equipment, and new bosses, providing players with an array of exciting new content to explore.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the mod is the introduction of new classes and starting points, reminiscent of alternate start mods for other popular games. The Convergence playthrough by YouTuber GinoMachino showcases a rot-themed class that inflicts damage over time, starting the game in the hellish Caelid instead of the idyllic Limgrave.

The Convergence team has also demonstrated creativity in weapon designs, introducing a Scarlet Rot-themed curved sword with a teleport slash ash of war, adding an element of excitement and experimentation to the game.

With reshuffled warp gates and modified starting points, The Convergence mod promises to provide an immersive and refreshing experience for Elden Ring enthusiasts, offering a glimpse of the potential for future expansions to the game.
