New casting has been announced for the Encores! Titanic production at New York City Center, marking the final production of the 30th Encores! series. The production will feature a stellar cast, including Chuck Cooper, Eddie Cooper, Drew Gehling, Ramin Karimloo, Emilie Kouatchou, Judy Kuhn, Brandon Uranowtiz, Samantha Williams, and Bonnie Milligan.
The musical, featuring music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Peter Stone, remains a powerful portrayal of the individuals whose dreams were shattered in the Atlantic. Directed by Anne Kauffman with choreography by Danny Mefford, the production will be led by Encores! Music Director Mary-Mitchell Campbell and The Encores! Orchestra.
The performance scheduled for Sunday, June 16, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 11, to allow artists and audiences to celebrate the 77th Annual Tony Awards. The updated performance run for Encores! Titanic is from June 11 to June 23.
As part of the 30th Encores! series, New York City Center is also offering Community Nights, ASL Interpreted Performances, and Celebrate Black Theater Legacy Night. Additionally, the series includes the first-ever Encores! student matinees for Once Upon a Mattress and Jelly’s Last Jam.
Tickets for the Encores! Titanic production start from $45 and can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the City Center Box Office. Access City Center Club, offering discounted tickets to those 35 years of age and under, is also available for City Center productions.
