New Buc-ee’s Travel Center Opens in Luling, Texas as Largest Store Yet

A new Buc-ee’s travel center has made its grand debut in Luling, Texas, boasting an impressive 75,000 square feet of space and a whopping 120 gas pumps. This latest addition to the popular chain has officially claimed the title of the largest Buc-ee’s store ever constructed, surpassing the previous record held by a 74,000-square-foot location in Tennessee.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Buc-ee’s in Luling coincided with its opening day, drawing attention from various local officials and even Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who expressed pride in the state’s association with the renowned convenience store brand. The governor emphasized the significance of Buc-ee’s in contributing to the economic landscape of Texas and fostering growth for future generations.

With projections indicating the creation of over 200 new jobs at the Luling site, Buc-ee’s is not only expanding its physical footprint but also making a notable impact on the local workforce. This massive 75,000-square-foot establishment replaces a 21-year-old location that had served as the area’s inaugural family travel center, marking a significant upgrade for visitors and residents alike.

According to Buc-ee’s co-founder Arch Alpin III, the decision to build the new travel center stemmed from the company’s need for a larger space to accommodate its growing customer base and product offerings. Inside the sprawling store, patrons can expect a wide array of snack, meal, and beverage options that have become synonymous with the Buc-ee’s experience.

As the majority of Buc-ee’s travel centers are situated in Texas, the opening of the Luling store further solidifies the brand’s presence in the Lone Star State, bringing the total count of Buc-ee’s locations to 49. Governor Abbott commended Buc-ee’s for its commitment to showcasing the best of Texas and applauded the company for its ongoing success in delivering top-notch services to customers.

Overall, the unveiling of the largest Buc-ee’s store in Luling marks a significant milestone for the beloved travel center chain, underscoring its dedication to providing exceptional offerings and fostering economic growth within the state.
