Neil Young & Crazy Horse are set to embark on their first national tour in a decade, following the announcement of their new retrospective album, ‘Fu##in’ Up.’ The 16-date tour will kick off with two nights in San Diego on April 24-25 and conclude in Chicago on May 23.
The tour comes in conjunction with the release of ‘Fu##in’ Up,’ which will have a limited vinyl release for Record Store Day on April 20, followed by an all-format release on April 26. The album features newly recorded songs from the band’s past in 2023.
While the month-long tour may not cover all the cities fans had hoped for, it will include stops in Queens, Toronto, Boston, Detroit, Phoenix, Austin, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Huntsville, Bristow, Camden, and Bridgeport. However, major touring hubs like Los Angeles will be left out, although San Diego is within reach for those willing to attend the amphitheater shows there.
Subscribers to Neil Young’s site have access to a pre-sale for the tour, with additional advance sales scheduled throughout the week. General ticket sales will commence on Friday at 10 a.m. ET on livenation.com. Ticket buyers will also have the option to receive a CD copy of the new album with their purchase at no extra cost.
To deter scalping, tickets will be mobile-only and non-transferable, except through the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange, where markups are prohibited.
This tour marks the first extensive outing for Young with Crazy Horse since 2014, following a series of shows in central California in 2018 and Canadian performances in early 2019. Plans for a wider tour in 2020 were halted by the pandemic, and Young was adamant about not risking his audience’s health. After a solo tour in summer 2023, he reunited with the band for two shows commemorating the 50th anniversary of L.A.’s Roxy, and a short private event.
