Michelle Yeoh To Star In Prime Video Sequel Series ‘Blade Runner 2099’
‘NCIS’ Tony & Ziva Spinoff Series Gets Official Title
Paramount’s Tony & Ziva NCIS spinoff has unveiled its official title. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, the stars of the Europe-set series, revealed the name of the offshoot during a Zoom announcement.
After considering titles like NCIS: Europe and NCIS: Trust No One, the duo settled on the title NCIS: Tony & Ziva. According to de Pablo, ‘It makes it really easy because the fans will know exactly what the show is. It’s about Tony and Ziva in Europe.’
The action-packed spinoff, with a 10-episode order, will follow Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva (de Pablo) as they navigate through Europe while on the run. Filming for the series is scheduled to commence this summer in Budapest, marking the second NCIS franchise extension beyond the U.S. after NCIS: Sydney. John McNamara serves as the writer and showrunner.
In the original NCIS series, Tony left the team to raise his daughter after Ziva’s supposed death. When Ziva was found alive, she reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris for one final mission with NCIS. The new series on Paramount+ picks up with Tony and Ziva raising their daughter, Tali, in Europe. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they embark on a journey across Europe, facing challenges and potentially rekindling their trust and love.
De Pablo anticipates intrigue, romance, European backdrops, and complex situations but with a touch of love. Weatherly, de Pablo, and McNamara are the executive producers of NCIS: Tony & Ziva, along with Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
