MultiVersus Game Relaunching with Jason Voorhees and Agent Smith Added to Roster

Exciting news for fans of the MultiVersus game as it gears up for a relaunch next week with the addition of two iconic characters – Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Agent Smith from The Matrix. The game, a free-to-play platform fighter, had been offline for the past 11 months for upgrades and is set to go live again on 28th May.

MultiVersus, Warner Bros’ take on the popular Super Smash Bros concept, will be back with a bang, featuring cross-platform and cross-progression play for PC (Steam and Epic), PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, there is no Nintendo support announced yet, leaving fans speculating about a potential release for the rumored Switch 2.

The game boasts a diverse roster of 27 unique characters, drawing from a range of Warner Bros-owned franchises. Players can expect to see familiar faces such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Joker, Finn, Jake, Gizmo, Stripe, Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Taz, LeBron James, Arya Stark, Shaggy, Velma, Rick, Morty, the Iron Giant, Tom, and Jerry.

Jason Voorhees will be part of the launch lineup, coinciding with the start of Season 1: Puns & Villainy. Agent Smith, on the other hand, will make his debut later in the season, adding an exciting twist to the gameplay experience.

Warner Bros aims for ‘always on success’ with its major franchises, including DC, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Mortal Kombat, each valued at over a billion dollars. Live service games like MultiVersus are strategically designed to engage fans continuously and maximize interaction with the beloved franchises.
