Exciting news for gaming enthusiasts as the MSI Claw handheld PC is now available for preorders at Best Buy and Newegg. This new gaming device, powered by Intel, is set to make its mark in the handheld gaming PC market.
Announced earlier this year at CES, the MSI Claw is set to rival other handheld gaming PCs such as the ROG Ally, Legion Go, and Steam Deck. What sets the MSI Claw apart is its use of Intel-based hardware, including an Intel Arc graphics chip and Intel Core Ultra CPU.
Available for preorder at prices ranging from $700 to $800, the MSI Claw comes in three models, all featuring an Intel Arc Graphics chip with 8 Xe-cores, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a seven-inch LED IPS touchscreen with 1080p resolution and support for 48-120Hz variable refresh rates. The models differ in CPU power and storage space, with the base model starting at $700 and the top-tier model priced at $800.
Customers who preorder the MSI Claw at Best Buy and Newegg can expect their orders to ship by April 4. Additionally, both retailers are offering exclusive preorder bundles that include enticing extras such as a copy of Skull & Bones standard edition, seven days of Ubisoft+, and a free one-month trial to Game Pass Ultimate.
Each model of the MSI Claw boasts Hall Effect joysticks and trigger buttons, a circular D-pad, and eight face buttons. The device is equipped with a 53Wh battery that provides approximately two hours of gameplay for intensive games. However, battery life can vary depending on the game being played. The MSI Claw also features a Thunderbolt 4 USB charging port for fast charging and includes a microSD card slot for expanding storage space.
Gaming enthusiasts are eager to see how the MSI Claw’s Intel-based hardware will stack up against its competitors in the handheld gaming PC market. With the release date set for March 15, the MSI Claw is poised to make a significant impact in the gaming industry.
