Motorola Unveils moto g85 5G with 120Hz Display and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Chipset

The latest addition to Motorola’s smartphone lineup is the moto g85 5G, a mid-range 5G device that follows the moto g84. Initially launched as the S50 Neo in China, this new phone boasts a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz pOLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the moto g85 5G features a 50MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens that includes a macro option. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. The phone’s design includes a back cover made of nano-leather with optional Pantone color matching and an endless edge design.

Other notable specifications of the moto g85 5G include a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, 256GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB, and Android 14 with My UX. The device also sports a 32MP front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC. It also comes with USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and dual microphones. The moto g85 5G is water-resistant with an IP54 rating.

The moto g85 5G is available in Olive Green, Cobalt Blue, and Urban Grey colors and is currently on sale in select European countries for 349.99 Euros. The phone is expected to launch in India soon with an estimated price of around Rs. 20,000 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
