Moon Studios Ventures into New Genre with No Rest for the Wicked

Moon Studios, the developer behind the popular Ori games, is venturing into a new genre with its upcoming release, No Rest for the Wicked. The game promises a blend of stunning visuals, intense challenges, and satisfying rewards, reminiscent of the Dark Souls series.

Having had the opportunity to play the first 90 minutes of an early build, it became evident that No Rest for the Wicked is not a title for the faint-hearted. The gameplay experience culminated in a demanding boss fight, where every piece of gear, loot, and progress had to be painstakingly earned. Unlike the power trip offered by games like Diablo, where players often assume the role of a formidable force, No Rest for the Wicked places players in the vulnerable position of having to outmaneuver and survive the relentless adversaries, akin to the gameplay dynamics of Dark Souls.

As previously revealed in an exclusive IGN First coverage by Moon Studios, the game diverges from the high-speed combat of titles like Diablo 4, opting for a more deliberate and strategic approach. Players will need to master the timing of their attacks, parries, and dodge rolls to overcome the formidable foes that await them in this isometric-view action RPG.
