MINISFORUM Launches Powerful UM790 XTX Mini-PC with Overclocked AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APU and OCuLink Support

MINISFORUM has recently launched the UM790 XTX mini-PC, a powerful device featuring an overclocked AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APU and support for OCuLink eGPU. This new mini-PC is equipped with modern ports like OCuLink and USB4, setting it apart from its competitors in the market.

The UM790 XTX, introduced towards the end of last year, boasts the capability to push its AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APU to 70 W, a significant increase compared to the standard 35 W TDP. This enhancement is made possible by MINISFORUM’s innovative ‘Cold Wave 2.1’ cooling solution, ensuring efficient performance without compromising on noise levels.

With the UM790 XTX, MINISFORUM aims to provide users with superior performance compared to its previous models like the UM790 Pro. The mini-PC is currently available in China, starting at CNY 3,299 (~$455) for the base unit. Alternatively, customers can opt for a configuration with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 512 GB SSD for CNY 3,999 (~$552).

While the global availability of the UM790 XTX is yet to be confirmed by MINISFORUM, the company typically sells most of its mini-PCs outside China. This new release adds to MINISFORUM’s lineup of innovative devices, expanding its range of offerings in the mini-PC market.

Overall, the MINISFORUM UM790 XTX presents a compelling option for users seeking a high-performance mini-PC with advanced features and capabilities. Stay tuned for more updates on the availability and performance of this new device from MINISFORUM.
