Microsoft has unveiled the first gameplay footage of the highly anticipated new Perfect Dark game during the Xbox Games Showcase. This new iteration of Perfect Dark, developed by The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, is a reboot of the original game and is set in a near-future Cairo.

In the gameplay trailer, players got a glimpse of Joanna Dark in action in this futuristic setting. According to Xbox wire editor in chief Joe Skrebels, the development team drew inspiration from the first two games but created a fresh story and universe for this reboot.

Perfect Dark is a first-person secret agent shooter that will offer a single-player experience with a variety of missions. Players will have the freedom to choose how they approach these missions, with a range of gadgets at their disposal. The trailer even hinted at a unique gadget that can analyze NPC voices and generate deepfake ones to aid in creating distractions or bypassing security systems.

While Microsoft has not yet announced a release date or window for Perfect Dark, fans are eagerly anticipating more news about this exciting reboot.
