Microsoft Rolls Out Windows 11 23H2, Urges Users to Upgrade

Windows 11 22H2 is nearing retirement, but fear not as Windows 11 23H2 is here to save the day. Microsoft has officially rolled out the latest version, making it available for download and installation for all eligible users.

The announcement of the ‘broad availability’ of Windows 11 23H2 was made in a release health dashboard update on July 17, 2024. This release comes later than the previous 22H2 update, which was available in January 2023.

With the end-of-support for 22H2 approaching in October 2024, Microsoft is eager to encourage users to upgrade to 23H2. The delay in the full rollout of 23H2 may be attributed to resolving issues specific to this version of Windows 11.

Upgrading to 23H2 should be a seamless process as it maintains the same system requirements as older versions of Windows 11. Users can check their current Windows 11 version by accessing Windows Update in the Settings app.

If you are not already running Windows 11 23H2, you can download and install it by checking for updates in Windows Update.

As Windows 11 22H2 approaches its end-of-support date on October 8, 2024, Microsoft will cease releasing monthly security updates for this version. It is important for users to stay informed about the lifecycle of Windows products to ensure their systems remain secure and up-to-date.
