Microsoft Introduces Rewards Notes Feature for Xbox Users

Microsoft is rolling out a new feature for Microsoft Rewards on Xbox called Rewards Notes to keep users informed about the latest updates and changes to the rewards program. This move comes after a recent overhaul of Microsoft Rewards on Xbox earlier this year, where the company promised more transparency regarding program changes.

Players accessing the Rewards Hub on Xbox will now encounter a pop-up introducing Rewards Notes, a feature designed to provide quick and direct updates, information, and upcoming changes related to Microsoft Rewards on Xbox. The message from Microsoft states that Rewards Notes will serve as a platform to inform users about alterations that impact point earnings and reward collection.

In addition to the Rewards Notes feature, Microsoft is testing the ability for users to claim Rewards points directly from notifications, eliminating the need to navigate to the Rewards hub each time. Users are encouraged to check their email for the latest Xbox Rewards Newsletter, offering tips on earning points and rewards.

Microsoft’s initiative to enhance communication with users through Rewards Notes and the newsletter follows a period of frequent changes to Microsoft Rewards over the past 18 months, often without proper notification to users. This lack of communication caused confusion within the Rewards community, which Microsoft aims to address with these new tools.

With the introduction of Rewards Notes and the newsletter, Microsoft hopes to keep users better informed about program updates and changes moving forward. By expanding the availability of these features to the Xbox app on mobile and PC in addition to consoles, Microsoft aims to enhance user connectivity to the Rewards program.
