Michigan Hires Dusty May as New Men’s Basketball Head Coach

Michigan is set to hire Dusty May as the new head coach for the Wolverines’ men’s basketball team, following the confirmation by University President Santa Ono. May comes to Ann Arbor after a successful six-season stint at Florida Atlantic, where he achieved a remarkable 35-4 record, conference championship, and a Final Four appearance in the 2022-23 season.

The Wolverines are in need of a major rebuild after finishing with an 8-24 record last season, with most of their key players either entering the Transfer Portal or exhausting their eligibility.
