Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake to Credit Original Developers

Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is set to credit Hideo Kojima and the original developers, acknowledging their integral role in the game’s creation. The news comes as Noriaki Okamura, producer of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, expresses his desire to have the original team back for the project. Okamura stated that having the original members return would be ‘the dream,’ emphasizing the significance of their involvement.

In a recent episode of the official Metal Gear – Production Hotline series on YouTube, Okamura discussed the potential of reuniting with the original staff members for future collaborations on Konami’s iconic stealth series. While he acknowledged that individuals may have pursued other opportunities, he expressed his enthusiasm for working with Kojima and the team again, if the opportunity arises.

Despite recognizing the evolving nature of the industry and the commitments of former team members, Okamura emphasized that the current developers at Konami are prepared to take on the responsibility of delivering a quality product. He stressed the importance of not pressuring or assuming that the original team members would automatically return, highlighting the need for the current team to focus on their own contributions.

Okamura confirmed that the original developers will be credited in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, honoring their past roles in the game’s development. This practice follows Konami’s approach with the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, recognizing the enduring impact of the original team on the series.

While some original staff members are still part of the remake’s team, Okamura revealed that many individuals who worked on the original game are involved in the upcoming project. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is scheduled for release later this year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, offering fans a special edition that includes unique features like trapping Naked Snake in a terrarium.

For stealth game enthusiasts, the anticipation for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater continues to grow as details about the remake unfold. As the release date approaches, fans can stay updated on the latest news and developments in the gaming world.
