Hold on to your basses as it’s been almost a decade since Meghan Trainor’s hit ‘All About That Bass’ was released. To commemorate this milestone, the singer recently performed the popular song with Kelly Clarkson on the latest episode of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’

In a sneak peek video shared by Clarkson on YouTube, viewers got a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes as Trainor and Clarkson prepared for their duet. The clip captures the duo harmonizing and sharing a light-hearted moment before their performance.

Trainor, jokingly expressing nerves, sang, ‘I want to throw up,’ while Clarkson, donned in a bathrobe, flawlessly belted out notes during the mic check. Trainor, visibly anxious, shared, ‘I’m so nervous. I have to sing with Kelly Clarkson. My song.’

‘All About That Bass’ made history in 2014 as Trainor’s debut single under Epic Records, becoming the label’s longest-running number one hit. Since then, Trainor has released five studio albums and clinched prestigious awards like two Billboard Music Awards, a People’s Choice Award, and a Grammy.

While Trainor has previously appeared on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ in 2019, this performance marks the first time the duo sang one of Trainor’s own songs together. Overwhelmed by the moment, Trainor admitted, ‘I’m just starstruck watching the screen. That’s me and Kelly. What am I doing here?’

Fans online have been quick to show their support and excitement for this collaboration, praising Trainor’s humility and the duo’s musical chemistry.
