Megan Thee Stallion to Replace Tyler, the Creator as Headliner at Lollapalooza 2024

Chicago’s highly anticipated Lollapalooza music festival has just made a significant announcement regarding a headliner change for the upcoming 2024 event. Originally, the festival lineup was unveiled in March, featuring top acts such as SZA, Blink-182, The Killers, and more.

Shortly after the lineup reveal, tickets went on sale, and the daily schedules and stages were released. Fans eagerly anticipated the festival set to take place in Grant Park from August 1 to 4. However, just over a month before the event, a major update was shared.

Regrettably, Tyler, the Creator, one of the headliners, will no longer be able to perform at this year’s Lollapalooza. In response to this development, Megan Thee Stallion has been announced as the replacement headliner for Thursday, August 1st.

The change was made public through a statement on Facebook by the festival organizers, coming shortly after Tyler, the Creator’s announcement on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that he would also be canceling his appearance at Outside Lands in San Francisco.

In his post, Tyler, the Creator expressed his disappointment in having to cancel the performances due to a commitment he could no longer fulfill, apologizing to his fans for the letdown.

Following the news, reactions from fans varied, with some expressing disappointment at the change while others welcomed the new addition to the lineup. The festival organizers have not yet responded to inquiries regarding the lineup alteration.

This year’s Lollapalooza holds special significance as it marks the festival’s 20th anniversary in Chicago. Since its debut in the city in 2005, Lollapalooza has become a staple event, attracting music enthusiasts from around the world. With the event set to kick off in August, fans can still look forward to an unforgettable experience despite the recent lineup adjustment.
