Exciting News for Pokémon GO Trainers: Mega Rayquaza Returns for a Special Raid Event!
Pokémon GO fans, get ready for an exhilarating experience as Mega Rayquaza makes its grand return to raid battles worldwide! This special event is set to take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, with multiple opportunities to catch this legendary Pokémon. Trainers can participate in raids at the following times:
- 11 AM (local time)
- 1 PM (local time)
- 6 PM (local time)
This event is a response to the challenges faced during the previous Mega Rayquaza raid event in June. The Pokémon GO team sincerely apologizes for any inconveniences caused and appreciates the community’s understanding and enthusiasm.
Event Bonuses
From Saturday, August 3, at 2 AM until Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 5 AM (local time), trainers will enjoy an increased remote raid limit of twenty raids per day. This bonus allows players to engage in more battles and potentially catch Mega Rayquaza more easily.
Free Timed Research
During this exciting event, trainers will also have the opportunity to participate in a free Timed Research challenge. Completing the research tasks will reward players with a Meteorite, a valuable item that can aid in evolving Pokémon.
To mega-evolve Rayquaza, trainers must fulfill a specific requirement: they need to teach Rayquaza the charged attack “Zenith Strike”. This special move can only be learned by using Meteorites, so make sure to gather enough during the event!
