Meagan Good Opens Up About Relationship with Jonathan Majors

Meagan Good recently opened up about her relationship with actor Jonathan Majors, revealing that he tried to discourage her from dating him in an effort to protect her. The ‘Harlem’ star shared that despite the attention their relationship received, she was determined to be authentic and not succumb to external perceptions.

In an interview with People magazine, Good recounted a moment when their outing was noticed by someone and reported, prompting discussions on whether to keep their relationship private. Good expressed her stance, stating, ‘People have a perception of you that’s not true. A perception of who you date that’s not true. So if this is what it is then at some point they’re going to find out.’

Despite Majors’ attempts to shield her from potential scrutiny, Good remained steadfast in her decision. She emphasized her resilience and experience in the entertainment industry, asserting, ‘The things that I’ve been through gave me the bandwidth to love other people, regardless.’

The couple went public with their romance in May 2023, but their happiness was later overshadowed by legal troubles. In December of the same year, Majors was convicted of reckless assault and harassment in connection to an incident involving his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari.

Jabbari testified that during a dispute, she discovered a text on Majors’ phone indicating infidelity, leading to a physical altercation. The court sentenced Majors to a domestic violence program following the verdict.

Subsequent to the legal proceedings, The New York Times published interviews with two women who accused Majors of past abuse. The actor denied the allegations through his legal representation, attributing the relationships to toxicity but refuting claims of abuse.

Despite the challenges they faced, Good and Majors navigated the complexities of their relationship with resilience and honesty. Their journey serves as a reminder of the complexities of love and the importance of staying true to oneself amidst external pressures.
