Mark Feuerstein Reveals Superstition Surrounding 11:11 on Clocks

Mark Feuerstein, known for his roles in the upcoming MGM+ series Hotel Cocaine and the AppleTV+ limited series Lady in the Lake, recently shared his superstition surrounding the time 11:11 on a clock in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

Feuerstein, 52, revealed that whenever he sees the clock showing 11:11 on his phone, he engages in a ritual of making numerous wishes before it turns to 11:12. These wishes, he explained, are fervent prayers for the well-being of his family, friends, and himself.

The actor went on to explain that if he witnesses the clock transitioning from 11:11 to 11:12, his wishes are nullified, making the superstition a delicate and precarious practice for him.

In a candid conversation with PEOPLE for ‘One Last Thing,’ Feuerstein shared some personal anecdotes:

  • Last time I stayed up past my bedtime: Feuerstein recounted staying up late with his wife Dana Klein, a television writer and producer, to watch Survivor with their daughter Lila, who was out late. The family moment was especially cherished as Lila is preparing to leave for college.
  • Last time I was starstruck: The actor expressed his admiration for Natalie Portman, whom he worked with on the upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries Lady in the Lake. Feuerstein, a long-time fan of Portman since ‘The Professional,’ described her as incredibly cool.
  • Last time I faced a fear: Feuerstein humorously mentioned the anxiety he experiences when his 16-year-old son Frisco drives. Despite his initial apprehension, he noted that his son’s driving skills have improved, allowing him to listen to a podcast during their recent drive.
  • Last thing I do before I go to bed: The actor humorously shared his habit of discarding the container of Jeni’s Brambleberry Crisp Ice Cream before bedtime.

For fans eager to see Feuerstein in action, the premiere of Hotel Cocaine is set for June 16 on MGM+. Stay tuned for more updates on the actor’s latest projects and personal anecdotes.
