Macaulay Culkin made sure his fiancée Brenda Song had a truly unforgettable birthday! On Wednesday, April 3, the Home Alone alum, 43, shared a hilarious social media recap of the Mexican vacation he and the Blue Eye Samurai talent went on to celebrate her turning 36 on March 27.
“So the lady and I went to @nobuloscabos for her birthday,” he wrote in his Instagram caption. “On our first day we went to the gift shop and I found this shirt.” The cover photo on Culkin’s carousel showed him standing at the resort, wearing a white polo-style T-shirt with a brand’s logo on his chest. Culkin explained that because of the top, he “looked like the staff” and therefore made the executive decision “to spend my four days there masquerading as a: Poolside waiter, Housekeeper, Cabana boy, Room service attendant, [and] Bell hop.”
Each photo that followed showed the former child actor waiting hand and foot on the birthday girl. In one image, Song sat smiling on a poolside lounge chair wearing a pink bikini as the Richie Rich star stood beside her, holding a beverage on a tray — as he wore a polo shirt and khaki shorts. Another picture saw him grinning ear to ear as he made a bed. He also provided Song with fresh beach towels and carried her luggage.
Fans flooded the comment section, comparing his sweet treatment to the procedures Song’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody character, London Tipton, was accustomed to. Song starred in the Disney Channel sitcom from 2005 to 2008.
“Some might say you were treating her to the suite life,” one Instagram user wrote. In the sitcom, Song’s character was loosely based on hotel heiress Paris Hilton. London is the daughter of Wilfred Tipton, the owner of the Tipton Hotel chain and the SS Tipton.
“Thanks again @nobuloscabos for the fun time and excellent stay. And thanks for selling that shirt. It really made me feel like I belonged,” Culkin concluded.
