Louie the Raccoon Named 2024 Cadbury Bunny

Easter is just around the corner, and this year, the iconic Cadbury Bunny is not a bunny at all. The honor goes to Louie, a two-year-old raccoon from South Florida, who has been named the 2024 Cadbury Bunny by Hershey, the parent company of Cadbury.

Louie, the raccoon, will soon be featured in a Cadbury commercial, marking his TV debut and earning a $7,000 cash prize for his win. The selection of Louie as the Cadbury Bunny came after a bracket-style elimination tournament on Instagram, where animal lovers and Cadbury customers voted for their favorite contestant.

Notably, this was the sixth annual Cadbury Bunny tryout, and previous winners have included a rescue cat, a frog, and three different dogs since 2019.

It’s a delightful and unexpected choice that has captured the hearts of many, as Louie breaks the traditional mold of a bunny and brings a unique and charming twist to the role of the Cadbury Bunny for 2024.
