Lewis Black’s ‘Goodbye Yeller Brick Road, The Final Tour’ Coming to Western New York

Get ready for a night of laughter and wit as the National Comedy Center presents two special stand-up shows featuring the legendary comedian Lewis Black. The two-time Grammy Award-winning comedian will be bringing his ‘Goodbye Yeller Brick Road, The Final Tour’ to Western New York in September.

Black, known for his comedic yelling and finger-pointing style, has been entertaining audiences for over 35 years. However, he recently announced that this tour will be his last as he looks to explore new avenues in his career, including writing a new play, a new book, and expanding his podcast, RantCast, to feature live recordings.

The shows will take place at the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda on Thursday, September 5, and at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts in Jamestown on Friday, September 6. Black’s unique brand of comedy, which highlights life’s absurdities and hypocrisies, has earned him the title of ‘King of the Rant.’

In addition to his stand-up career, Black is also known for his work as the longest-running correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and as the voice of ‘Anger’ in the Disney and Pixar film Inside Out 2.

As a founding Advisory Board member of the National Comedy Center, Black has been a strong supporter of the institution since its opening in 2018. He has made multiple appearances in Jamestown, including performances at the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival and fundraisers for the Comedy Center.

Expressing his excitement for the upcoming shows, Black stated, ‘It means a lot to me to take the stage on this final tour, for these two very special shows, performing for friends and fans who love comedy as much as I do.’

Don’t miss your chance to see this comedy icon live on stage. Tickets for the Lewis Black shows will be available for pre-sale to National Comedy Center members before going on sale to the general public. Get ready to laugh the night away with Lewis Black!
