Lego and Nintendo Unveil Great Deku Tree Set for Legend of Zelda Fans

Lego enthusiasts and Legend of Zelda fans, rejoice! The long-awaited collaboration between Lego and Nintendo has finally come to fruition with the unveiling of the Lego Great Deku Tree set. This 2-in-1 set, comprising a whopping 2,500 pieces, is now available for pre-order at a price of $299.99, with shipping set to commence in September.

The set pays homage to two iconic Zelda games, Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild, allowing builders to recreate the majestic Great Deku Tree in either its lush green summer setting or adorned with delicate pink spring cherry blossoms. Fans will be delighted to find multiple versions of the beloved protagonist, Link, including his child and adult forms from Ocarina of Time, as well as his appearance in Breath of the Wild.

Adding an interactive element to the set, Lego has incorporated features that enable enthusiasts to animate the facial expressions of the Great Deku Tree. Moreover, the set includes various characters and elements from the Zelda universe, such as a skulltula, koroks, Hestu with his signature maracas, fairies, and even Princess Zelda herself.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Lego, expanding its repertoire of Nintendo-themed sets which already include popular franchises like Animal Crossing, Mario, and Donkey Kong. Despite previous restrictions on Zelda-themed submissions, Lego has now embraced the demand for an official Zelda set, following months of speculation and anticipation among fans.

As the Lego and Nintendo partnership continues to flourish, enthusiasts can look forward to more exciting releases that blend the creativity of Lego with the beloved characters and worlds of Nintendo’s iconic franchises.
