Additionally, she was the oldest living Oscar nominee for acting, having received a nomination for her role in 1960’s ‘The Sundowners.’

Johns also made a mark in theater, winning a Tony award for her performance in ‘A Little Night Music,’ where she famously sang the Stephen Sondheim song ‘Send in the Clowns.’

Reflecting on her career, Glynis Johns expressed her love for the role of Mrs. Winifred Banks in ‘Mary Poppins,’ stating, ‘I got applause for that. I loved doing it. I felt it.’

Throughout her decades-long career in the entertainment industry, Johns appeared in various films including ‘While You Were Sleeping’ and had roles in TV shows such as ‘Batman’ and ‘Cheers.’ Her final acting credits were in ‘While You Were Sleeping’ and ‘Superstar.’
