Leaked Geekbench listing reveals key specifications of upcoming Moto G Power 5G (2024)

A new version of the Moto G Power 5G is on the horizon, as leaks and rumors continue to build anticipation for its imminent launch. The latest development comes in the form of a Geekbench listing, which has revealed key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

The Moto G Power 5G (2024) has made an appearance on Geekbench, showcasing an octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. It is speculated that the chipset in question is the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, believed to be a rebrand of the MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC. The listing also confirms that the device will be equipped with 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 out-of-the-box. In terms of performance, the Moto G Power 5G scored 679 points in the single-core test and 2,005 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench.

Leaked renders of the Moto G Power 5G (2024) have provided insights into its design, showcasing a punch-hole display with flat edges and a raised square camera module housing two sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone is expected to be available in two color options: Orchid Tint and Outer Space. Additionally, it is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display and support fast charging with either 30W or 67W capabilities.

It is speculated that the new model will succeed the Moto G Power (2023), which made its debut last year with a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 930 6nm processor and featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The 2023 model also offered two storage variants: 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 256GB storage, along with a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro sensor, as well as a 16MP front camera.
