Las Vegas Aces Defeat Indiana Fever 88-69 in Fifth Straight Win

Las Vegas Aces secured their fifth straight win as they defeated the Indiana Fever with a score of 88-69 in a thrilling WNBA match on Tuesday. Kelsey Plum was the star of the game, scoring 12 of her season-high 34 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Aces to victory.

Throughout the game, Las Vegas maintained the lead, but Indiana, concluding a five-game road stretch, kept the pressure on the reigning champions. However, it was in the final quarter that Plum’s performance shone, with her exceptional 3-point shooting and crucial points that extended the Aces’ lead significantly.

A’ja Wilson, the WNBA’s top scorer, contributed 28 points and nine rebounds to the Aces’ victory. Wilson’s defensive prowess was also on display as she blocked five shots, limiting Indiana’s scoring opportunities.

Jackie Young of Las Vegas recorded 15 points and 10 assists, while Kiah Stokes grabbed 12 rebounds, further strengthening the Aces’ performance. On the other side, NaLyssa Smith stood out for Indiana with 14 rebounds, despite a low scoring output.

Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell put up a commendable performance with 23 points, accounting for most of the team’s 3-point shots. Meanwhile, rookie Caitlin Clark struggled with her shooting but managed a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists.

Aliyah Boston added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Fever, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the dominant display from the Aces. Las Vegas outperformed Indiana in field-goal shooting and 3-point accuracy, sealing their victory.
