On Jan 18, 2024, Lana Del Rey was announced as the face of Skims’ Valentine’s Day campaign, just days after being revealed as a headliner for Coachella. The campaign, shot by Nadia Lee Cohen, showcases Del Rey in a variety of Skims’ everyday essentials, including the popular Fits Everybody bodysuit and heart-print Sleep set. The Valentine’s Day Shop will feature over 29 limited-edition collections of intimates, sleep sets, and loungewear, and will be available for purchase from Jan 23 on the Skims website and select retailers.
Lana Del Rey expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “I’ve been a big fan of Skims since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting. Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with Nadia on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.”
Del Rey’s involvement in the campaign follows a trend of A-list celebrities starring in Skims’ ads, with previous campaigns featuring renowned figures such as Kim Catrall, Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, and Sza. The Skims Valentine’s Shop will offer a preview of the styles on Jan 17, with the official launch scheduled for Jan 23 on Skims.com and select retailers including Nordstrom, Holt, Harrods, Selfridges, Lane Crawford, Ounass, and David Jones.
