Kenosha Introduces Restaurant Week to Support Small Businesses

Kenosha, Wisconsin – In an effort to support small businesses during a typically slow sales period, Visit Kenosha has introduced Restaurant Week, a nine-day culinary tour featuring a record 63 Kenosha businesses offering discounted menu items. The annual event aims to provide a warm welcome for small businesses and boost sales during the winter months.

Morelli’s Deli, owned by Ann and Tom Morelli, has been a neighborhood fixture for 25 years. Ann Morelli expressed gratitude for the continuous support from the community, emphasizing the importance of loyal customers in sustaining their business through tough times. She noted that they know 90% of their customers and have witnessed children grow up over the years.

Laura Gregorski, the marketing director at Visit Kenosha, highlighted the significance of Restaurant Week in helping restaurants survive the winter months. She emphasized the need for businesses to thrive during this period, beyond the more favorable summer season.

Patrick Metzger, a regular patron at Morelli’s, eagerly anticipates the upcoming specials, including a $9.99 Italian beef sandwich with a side of chips and a beverage. He praised the diverse menu offerings, expressing particular fondness for the coffee, chicken salad, sandwiches, and guacamole.

Ann Morelli expressed her enthusiasm for serving customers, stating that their support motivates her more than ever. The community’s unwavering patronage has contributed to her continued excitement for running the deli.

As the Restaurant Week kicks off, the initiative aims to invigorate the local dining scene and provide a much-needed boost to Kenosha’s small businesses.
