Kawhi Leonard’s Availability Uncertain for Game 2 Against Mavericks

The Los Angeles Clippers are facing uncertainty regarding the availability of their star player Kawhi Leonard for Game 2 against the Dallas Mavericks in the first-round playoff series. Leonard, who has been dealing with inflammation in his right knee, has missed the last nine games and his status for Tuesday night’s game remains questionable.

Coach Ty Lue revealed that Leonard took part in a practice session on Monday, but it was a non-contact walk-through aimed at addressing team improvements. Lue mentioned that Leonard’s participation in Tuesday’s game will depend on how he feels after the practice session.

Leonard’s absence has been felt by the Clippers, especially since he last played on March 31. The forward has a history of knee injuries, having undergone surgeries for ACL and meniscus issues in the past. Despite being listed as questionable for Game 1, Leonard did not see any contact action and ultimately sat out the game.

If Leonard is unable to return for Game 2, the Clippers will have a few more days to prepare for Game 3 in Dallas on Friday. Currently, the Clippers hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series against the Mavericks.
