Justin Hotard Appointed as Intel’s New Executive Vice President and General Manager of Data Center and AI Group

Intel Corporation has announced the appointment of Justin Hotard as the new executive vice president and general manager of its Data Center and AI Group (DCAI), effective Feb. 1, 2024. With over 20 years of experience in driving transformation and growth in computing and data center businesses, Hotard is set to lead Intel’s mission to bring AI everywhere.

Hotard will be joining Intel’s executive leadership team and will directly report to CEO Pat Gelsinger. His responsibilities will include overseeing Intel’s suite of data center products, such as the Intel® Xeon® processor family, graphics processing units (GPUs), and accelerators, spanning enterprise and cloud. Additionally, he will play a crucial role in advancing the company’s vision of proliferating AI technology.

Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, expressed confidence in Hotard’s leadership, citing his customer-first mindset and track record in driving growth and innovation in the data center and AI. Gelsinger emphasized Hotard’s commitment to creating groundbreaking technologies and his belief in Intel’s role in empowering customers for the long term.

Prior to his appointment at Intel, Hotard served as the executive vice president and general manager of High-Performance Computing, AI, and Labs at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). During his tenure at HPE, Hotard was instrumental in delivering AI capabilities to address complex problems through data-intensive workloads and led the company’s central applied research group, Hewlett Packard Labs.
