Jon Cryer, known for his role on the CBS mega-hit sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men,’ recently appeared on ‘The View’ and cast doubt on the possibility of a reboot ever being made. Cryer, who co-headlined the show with Charlie Sheen for eight seasons, expressed uncertainty about partnering with Sheen again, citing the tumultuous end of the show’s original run.
During the interview, Cryer mentioned that although Sheen is doing better now, they haven’t spoken in years. He also highlighted the strained relationship between Sheen and the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, expressing his happiness that they have reconciled. Sheen currently stars on Lorre’s Max comedy series ‘Bookie,’ which recently got picked up for a second season.
Reflecting on Sheen’s past behavior, Cryer acknowledged the actor’s status as the highest-paid actor in television during his time on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and the subsequent fallout. He expressed love and good wishes for Sheen but admitted reservations about entering into a long-term business arrangement with him.
When the co-host of ‘The View’ suggested that the ‘Two and a Half Men’ cast negotiate for equal pay, similar to the ‘Friends’ cast, Cryer agreed that it sounded fair. The show, which aired on CBS from 2003 to 2015, was one of the most-watched sitcoms of the 2000s and garnered two Emmy wins for Cryer’s performance.
