Joey King reunites with Channing Tatum on The Tonight Show after 11 years

Joey King, 24, had a heartwarming reunion with her former on-screen father Channing Tatum, 44, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The actress, known for her roles in Despicable Me 4 and A Family Affair, met Tatum backstage, marking 11 years since their collaboration in the film White House Down.

Expressing her excitement, King shared her joy on social media, calling the experience a ‘DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!’ and expressing gratitude for the reunion with Tatum. The impromptu meeting occurred while Tatum was in New York promoting his film Fly Me To The Moon and attending events with his fiancée Zoe Kravitz and co-star Scarlett Johansson.

Tatum reciprocated the sentiment by acknowledging King’s growth as an actor and woman since their time working together. King, who was around 14 during the release of White House Down, portrayed Tatum’s daughter in the action-packed thriller.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show, King also shared her admiration for another co-star, Zac Efron, with whom she stars alongside Nicole Kidman in A Family Affair. The actress reminisced about her childhood obsession with Efron, joking about owning various merchandise featuring the actor.
