Pretournament favourites Japan are set to face off against Indonesia in their final group stage match of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha. This crucial match comes after Japan’s recent loss to Iraq, making it a must-win situation for the four-time Asian Cup winners.

Japan is making significant changes for this game, with eight new players taking the field following their defeat to Iraq. The team’s defensive vulnerabilities have been a cause for concern, prompting the need for a revamped lineup.
