Intermountain Health Achieves Quadruple Stage 7 Healthcare Organization Recognition by HIMSS
Intermountain Health has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, becoming the first organization globally to be acknowledged as a Quadruple Stage 7 Healthcare Organization by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). This recognition marks Intermountain’s unwavering dedication to pioneering excellence in healthcare infrastructure and technology.
The achievement stems from Intermountain’s successful validation on the newly modernized HIMSS Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM). This model provides a comprehensive assessment, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement in areas like cybersecurity, adoption, sustainability, performance, and clinical outcomes. Intermountain’s performance exceeded expectations, with HIMSS praising their robust outcomes-based case studies showcasing the seamless integration of technology, processes, and people, all focused on patient-centered care.
These case studies covered diverse areas like cardiac care, virtual healthcare, and hyperbaric therapy, demonstrating Intermountain’s ability to leverage cutting-edge solutions while prioritizing patient well-being.
Intermountain’s dedication to innovation extends beyond the realm of INFRAM validation. They have a proven track record of achieving excellence across various HIMSS maturity models, including EMRAM, O-EMRAM, and AMAM. Their relentless pursuit of progress is evident in their exploration of various technologies like machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence. This exploration aims to support and enhance provider-patient interactions, ultimately aiming to transform healthcare experiences and set new standards for excellence.
Farukh Usmani, MD, medical director, Intermountain Health Digital Technology Services, expressed, ‘Our journey is intertwined with significant milestones, having attained validation on four HIMSS maturity models.
