IATSE Collaborates with Industry Allies in Response to EDD Review of Loan-Out Corporations

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, known as IATSE, has recently made a statement regarding the California Employment Development Department’s (EDD) review of loan-out corporations. The EDD has informed Cast & Crew that they are undergoing a review of certain loan-out corporations, prompting IATSE to take action.

IATSE, a prominent labor union in the entertainment industry, is collaborating with industry allies, including Cast & Crew and other payroll companies, to closely observe the EDD’s examination of loan-out corporations and strategize the next steps to be taken.

As an organization representing over 170,000 technicians, artisans, and craftspersons in the entertainment sector across the United States and Canada, IATSE plays a crucial role in advocating for the rights and interests of workers in live events, motion picture and television production, broadcast, and trade shows.

For further inquiries, individuals can reach out to IATSE via email at comms@iatse.net for general inquiries or press@iatse.net for press-related matters.

In recent news, workers at Plug In ICA have voted to join IATSE Local 63, showcasing the ongoing growth and influence of IATSE in the industry. Additionally, negotiations between IATSE and AMPTP have concluded the first week of discussions surrounding the Area Standards Agreement, indicating progress in labor relations within the entertainment sector.
