HWA Unveils Modern Tribute to Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II

German engineering firm HWA has unveiled a stunning tribute to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II, reimagined with a modern twist and slated for release next year. The original Evo II boasted a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine tuned by Cosworth, but HWA has taken a different approach by fitting a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine sourced from Mercedes, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

This rear-wheel-drive marvel delivers an impressive 443bhp and 405lb ft of torque in its standard configuration, achieving a top speed of 168mph. For those craving even more power, HWA offers an optional Affalterbach performance package that boosts output to 493bhp and pushes the top speed to 185mph.

Staying true to the iconic design of the Evo II, HWA has crafted the body of this homage using carbon fiber, a material synonymous with high performance and lightweight construction.
