HTC Set to Unveil New Phone in Taiwan

HTC is set to unveil a new phone on June 12 at 8 AM local time in Taiwan, as teased on the company’s Facebook account. While the teaser image only shows a glimpse of the phone’s side, speculation is rife that it could be the HTC U24 Pro, which was recently spotted in the Google Play Console.

The leaked details of the U24 Pro suggest that it will feature a 1080×2436 resolution screen and will debut with Android 14 out of the box. Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC along with 12GB of RAM. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.3 support is also anticipated.

The predecessor of the U24 Pro, the U23 Pro, was launched in May last year, making it due for a successor. Despite HTC’s limited release of U series handsets in select markets, the company has maintained its commitment to this line of devices.

With competitors like Xiaomi, BBK, Samsung, and Nothing offering compelling features and software support at competitive prices, HTC will need to deliver a standout device to capture consumer interest. The comments section reflects varying opinions on the current smartphone landscape, with some users emphasizing the importance of features like headphone jacks and microSD card slots.

As the anticipation builds for the upcoming HTC launch, tech enthusiasts and consumers alike are eager to see how the U24 Pro will stack up against its rivals in the fiercely competitive smartphone market.
