How to Block and Report Contacts on WhatsApp

  • Receiving unwanted or harassing messages

How to Block:

Method 1: Individual Chat

  1. Open the chat with the unwanted contact.
  2. Tap on their name or the chat info icon (top right corner).
  3. Scroll down and tap on “Block”.
  4. Confirm the block by tapping “Block” again.

Method 2: Contacts List

  1. Open the WhatsApp app.
  2. Go to the “Chats” tab.
  3. Swipe left on the chat with the unwanted contact.
  4. Tap on “More” (three dots) and choose “Block”.
  5. Confirm the block by tapping “Block” again.

Reporting Contacts:

For serious offenses like threats, abuse, or spam. WhatsApp reviews reported contacts and may take action.

How to Report:
