Horror movie ‘The Monkey’ wraps up filming with star-studded cast

Horror movie ‘The Monkey’, based on a Stephen King short story, has recently wrapped up filming, and the lead cast has been announced. Joining Theo James are Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy.

The film follows twin brothers Hal and Bill, who, after discovering their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, witness a series of gruesome deaths. Despite throwing the monkey away and growing apart over the years, they must reunite to destroy the malevolent object before it claims the lives of their loved ones.

James Wan, known for his work on ‘The Conjuring’ Universe and ‘Saw’ and ‘Insidious’ franchises, is producing the movie. Osgood Perkins, the director, has also adapted the story for the screen.

The movie, financed by C2 Motion Picture Group, has garnered attention since its sales launch at Cannes. Perkins’ upcoming release, ‘Longlegs’, starring Nicolas Cage, has also been generating buzz online after the release of its trailer.
