Honor, a prominent player in the foldable smartphone market, has unveiled its latest innovation – the Honor Magic V Flip, a sleek clamshell foldable device that promises a unique user experience. The standout feature of this device is its impressive 4-inch LTPO OLED cover screen, setting it apart from other foldable smartphones in the market.

The external display of the Honor Magic V Flip boasts a resolution of 1,092 x 1,200 pixels with a pixel density of 405 ppi. It also offers a high 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a maximum brightness of up to 1,600 nits, and 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The large diagonal screen allows for efficient content management, with the ability to split apps into a 16:9 mode for better scaling and a horizontal split for an enhanced video viewing experience.

Users can enjoy a range of Always on Display (AoD) options and run full-screen apps directly on the cover display. Honor has integrated smart continuity features that seamlessly transition apps from the cover screen to the main display, enhancing usability and convenience.

Turning to the main display, the Honor Magic V Flip features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The device folds completely flat and measures 14.89mm when closed and 7.5mm when unfolded, thanks to a proprietary hinge mechanism developed by Honor. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with configurations available up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Additionally, the device features a 0.25mm ultra-thin liquid-cooled VC plate for efficient heat dissipation.

For selfies, there’s a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocusing capabilities, providing users with versatile photography options.

On the software front, the device runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, offering a seamless and intuitive user experience. The device is equipped with a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, ensuring quick and efficient power replenishment.

The Honor Magic V Flip is available in three elegant color options – Iris Black, Camellia White, and Champagne Pink. Additionally, there is a limited-edition Jimmy Choo version featuring a unique green glitter design inspired by high-end footwear.
