The event drew in eager customers, including Hazel Crest resident Steven Allen, who described the Dairy Queen as a ‘piece of history.’ He and his wife indulged in a camel fudge cheesecake Blizzard and a strawberry sundae, expressing their excitement at the lucky coincidence of stumbling upon the re-opening.

Homewood resident Annette Bannon also shared her enthusiasm for the Dairy Queen re-opening, emphasizing that it symbolizes the arrival of summer. She initially planned to enjoy the free ice cream but ended up ordering a larger portion to celebrate the occasion.

The re-opening event at Dairy Queen on Ridge Road in Homewood brought a sense of joy and anticipation for the upcoming season, with customers relishing the nostalgic experience and the start of warmer days ahead.
