As the new year begins, holiday bookings are on the rise, with a recent survey indicating that most people are planning to book their 2024 summer trips before the end of spring. With the anticipation of warmer weather, many are eager to plan their escape from the cold, making it an ideal time to take advantage of the various holiday deals offered by UK travel firms.
Jet2Holidays is offering a deal where one child can holiday for no extra cost when two full-paying passengers book a room. The package includes flights, hotel transfers, and accommodations for the child. Tui is also providing discounts of up to £300 on a range of holidays, including trips to Greece, long-haul special offers, and 14-night stays, with dates spanning from May to October 2024.
For those seeking last-minute getaways, LoveHolidays is offering enticing deals to destinations such as Tenerife, Lanzarote, Malta, Egypt, Turkey, and the Algarve. Additionally, ATOL, the financial protection scheme, revealed that around 51% of respondents in a recent poll expressed their intention to book a holiday in the coming months, with only 17% planning to book from June onwards.
As bookings surge, travel firms are experiencing their busiest time of the year. ATOL has launched a campaign to remind people to ensure their bookings are financially protected. The survey, conducted by research firm Savanta, involved 2,295 adults and was completed in December, indicating a notable increase in holiday reservations compared to the previous year.
Andrew McConnell, spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority, noted the growth in bookings, driving holiday reservations back to pre-pandemic levels. With the holiday rush in full swing, now is the time for holiday-makers to take advantage of the attractive deals and plan their 2024 getaways.
