Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal Brings Modern Enhancements to Nintendo Switch

Hitman: Blood Money, the crown jewel of the stealth franchise, has made its way to the Nintendo Switch in a re-release titled Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal. Developed by Feral Interactive, this straightforward port of the original game retains the same controls and visuals with slight tweaks to the user interface. However, it also introduces a few quality-of-life updates, taking cues from more modern Hitman titles.

One of the major new features in Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal is the addition of Instinct Mode, an ability that was first introduced in Hitman: Absolution and expanded upon in the World of Assassination trilogy. This feature allows players to hone Agent 47’s senses, slowing down time slightly and highlighting targets, enemies, and key points of interest. However, the functionality of Instinct Mode in Blood Money – Reprisal is limited compared to its use in later games, making it almost useless in certain scenarios.

In addition to Instinct Mode, Reprisal also adds a new mini-map, which proves to be far more useful in many instances. The mini-map displays enemies and targets in real-time, with different icons representing guards, police, and assassination targets. This allows players to track the movement of their enemies without necessarily revealing themselves in-game, providing a strategic advantage.

Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal on the Nintendo Switch offers players the opportunity to revisit the acclaimed stealth title with some modern enhancements. While the limitations of Instinct Mode may disappoint some fans, the addition of the new mini-map provides a valuable tool for navigating the game’s challenging environments.
