FromSoft boss Hidetaka Miyazaki has discussed the possibility of a Bloodborne remake and the benefits of waiting for new hardware on which to revisit the beloved PlayStation 4 classic. In an interview timed alongside the proper unveiling of the Elden Ring DLC, Miyazaki expressed his happiness about the passionate fan base of Bloodborne.

When questioned about the possibility of a Bloodborne remake, Miyazaki stated, ‘It is a title we hold very dear and just as much as our fans. It does make me very happy to see that there are still so many people passionate about it.’

Miyazaki also discussed the value of having new hardware for remakes, citing the example of FromSoftware’s Demon’s Souls, which was remade as a PS5 launch title after originally launching on PS3. He emphasized that new hardware enables achievements and rendering that were not possible on previous generations, making it possible to enhance the gaming experience.

However, he also highlighted the importance of modern hardware from a user perspective, as it allows more players to appreciate the games and enhances accessibility. Miyazaki emphasized that accessibility is a driving force in bringing an old game to a new platform.

Regarding the potential Bloodborne remake, Miyazaki expressed his happiness at the passionate fan base calling for it to happen. He apologized for being unable to provide specific details about the remake but stated that he was thrilled at the game’s continued response. He mentioned that seeing passionate voices in the community made the team feel fortunate to have those memories and the support from the community.
