Helen Fielding visits set of final Bridget Jones film

Helen Fielding, the renowned author and creator of the beloved character Bridget Jones, made a surprise visit to the set of the fourth and final Bridget Jones film, ‘Mad About The Boy.’ The scene, captured by paparazzi on Hampstead Heath in North London, showed Fielding in a cream high-neck jumper, black jeans, and Ray Ban-style sunglasses, blending in with the crowd.

Despite her VIP status, Fielding managed to keep a low profile during her visit, with only a lanyard around her neck giving a hint of her identity. The author, now 66, was seen chatting and laughing with Renee Zellweger, who is reprising her role as Bridget in the film.

In this latest installment, Bridget Jones is depicted as a middle-aged single mother of two, navigating life after the loss of her partner Mark Darcy. The film is set in Hampstead, conveniently close to Fielding’s own Georgian townhouse.

A source from the film production described Fielding’s visit as ‘a bit of a surprise’ and noted her genuine enjoyment of being on set. Fielding’s presence added a special touch to the filming experience, with the author visibly delighted to witness the continuation of Bridget’s story.
