Hacking Group Claims Responsibility for Breaching Apple’s Website and Leaking Source Code
A hacking group known as IntelBroker has recently claimed responsibility for breaching Apple’s website and leaking the source code of three commonly used tools. This breach has raised concerns about the security of Apple’s internal systems and the potential consequences of such a data exposure.
According to reports from Dark Web Informer, the breach occurred in June 2024 and resulted in the posting of the source code for tools like AppleConnect-SSO, Apple-HWE-Confluence-Advanced, and AppleMacroPlugin. The hacker group behind the breach, IntelBroker, stated, ‘I’m releasing the internal source code to three of Apple’s commonly used tools for their internal site, thanks for reading and enjoy!’
In a separate incident, the same hacking group claimed to have stolen AMD employees’ credentials and data related to the company’s future product roadmap. The compromised data reportedly includes information on future AMD products, employee databases, customer databases, property files, ROMs, source code, firmware, and finances.
Following these breaches, AMD initiated an investigation into the matter and confirmed that a limited amount of information related to product specifications was accessed on a third-party vendor site. The company spokesperson reassured that they do not expect this breach to have a significant impact on their business or operations.
