Google Announces Upcoming Core Update Following March 2024 Changes

Google has announced that a new core update is on the horizon, set to be released in the coming weeks. This update follows the March 2024 core update, and many websites are still awaiting recoveries from the September 2023 changes.

Danny Sullivan, Google’s Search Liaison, shared insight on the upcoming update, stating that Google does not have a specific release date until the update undergoes thorough testing and evaluation. The exact timing of the update remains uncertain, as it depends on various factors that can impact the rollout schedule.

The previous core update, the March 2024 core update, was the most significant according to Google. It commenced on March 5, 2024, and concluded on April 19, 2024. Google has been consistently rolling out core updates, with previous updates including the November 2023, October 2023, August 2023, and March 2023 core updates.

Aside from core updates, Google also recently implemented a spam update in June 2024, which lasted for 7 days. Following this spam update, there have been no confirmed updates, although there have been speculations about unconfirmed changes.

Website owners and SEO professionals are eagerly anticipating the upcoming core update, hoping to see improvements in their search rankings. Since the September 2023 update, many sites have been striving to recover from any negative impacts on their visibility. The March 2024 core update was expected to address these concerns, but the results have varied for different websites.
