General Hospital Surprises Viewers with Recast of Sam McCall to Start 2024

New Year, New Sam? General Hospital Hits Us With a Recast to Start 2024

By Curtis Harding | 19 mins ago

General Hospital

General Hospital surprised viewers at the start of 2024 with a recast of the character Sam McCall, portrayed by Lindsay Hartley for the third time in almost as many years.

It was unexpected for fans as Hartley’s return is once again a temporary recast, as announced by the show during the episode. Hartley first took over the role in 2020 and again in February of the previous year. Her previous stints lasted for about a week’s worth of episodes each. The duration of her current run and the reason for Kelly Monaco’s absence have not been disclosed.

Sam’s character has evolved, and her relationship with Dante has become beloved by the audience. Hartley’s recurring appearances on the show have left viewers wondering if there is a possibility to keep her around permanently, albeit not as Sam. Hartley shared a photo of her character with Dante on her Instagram stories, hinting at her return with the caption, “Yes, one more time.”

General Hospital has recently seen temporary recasts, and the audience will have to wait to see how long Hartley’s presence will last. Stay tuned for further updates on this storyline!
