FX has released the official trailer for Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans, the second installment of FX’s anthology series from Ryan Murphy and 20th Television. The star-studded cast includes Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Naomi Watts, and Chloë Sevigny, and also features the final role for Treat Williams, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident at the age of 71. Williams portrays former CBS head and media tycoon Bill Paley in the adaptation of Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era.
The miniseries delves into the story of Truman Capote as he betrays his female friends, referred to as his “swans,” by publishing a roman à clef short story in Esquire in 1975. The cast also includes Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Ella Beatty, and Tom Hollander. Directed by Gus Van Sant, Max Winkler, and Jennifer Lynch, and written by Jon Robin Baitz, Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, January 31 at 10pm ET/PT on FX, next day on Hulu.
